Default Too much out of focus?

I took this picture off the Blueridge Parkway and I like it but I'm wondering if too much of it is out of focus?

Camera: Nikon d90

I would say yes. Since the whole thing is the subject then most or all of it should be in focus. If it was a tighter detail shot where just one stem is meant to be the subject then it would be ok if just that stem was in focus and everything else wasn't. At least thats my amateur opinion.

+1 I'd have liked to see the whole thing in focus as well.
