Sorry about that.
1. Do you guys think people would understand the photo without a caption( my title)?
2. Does this picture evoke any emotions?
3. Does this picture seem like it has a story to it?
4. How is the composition?
5. How is the lighting

I took this pic at about 3PM June 1

Hi, I love the vignetting.
The title seems pretty literal to me and a little corny.
I can't get emotional about a ripped piece of paper, sorry, but my young son immediately said, in a forlorn voice "Oh no! My love heart is broken!".
Trying to imagine a context/story to put this into is difficult for me also.
I like the composition and the lighting works, though the background surface has specks of dirt(?) on it.
I might have kept it in colour, let the drops fall from a height making a splash and let the red ink stain and run onto the table.

My first go at critiquing, hope I didn't offend.
Regards, Dave.

Well thanks for your answer, I added grain to the photo, so maybe the background has "stains"

I coloured the paper so splashing it wouldnt have caused ink to flow, unless i use red water. But that involves a lot of precision xD

Thanks for your answer

The lighting is very nice and I like the vignette.
I would really have liked to see it in color, I think the red of the heart would have more impact.
The title describes exactly what it is. I think you would understand without the title.
Having just the heart and the drops does evoke a sense of lonliness in the image.
I like the composition. The angle of the camera is very nice and it allows the rough edges to show nicely.

Thanks for sharing!

Probably a good subject for selective coloring. This would give a larger tonal range to the image and would help to fix the viewer's eye on the subject.

Thanks for your replies! The colour was a bit less of red but to orange. I originally wanted to do colour, but as i accidentally rolled my mouse over Lightroom's presets, i saw this would have been better.

Thanks again!
