A new beginning......

Here is a SOOC shot except for a square crop. How are the colors and the crop? What about the overall composition? Is this appealing at all? Would anything, besides a delete, make it better? Thanks in advace for any help!

it's a nice image but definitely needs a boost in contrast in my opinion.
If you're using Lightroom, I'd try the Clarity setting. If using photoshop, I'd try doing to LCE (local contrast enhancement) using the Unsharp tool

Not really. Did you paint in the green afterwards ?
It's all pixelated.

No, actually all I did here was an autotone and it brightened everything up. The green is not painted in, it is from the grass in the background. I do not see pixelation in the green, but it could be my monitor.....I know the picture was resized when uploading to Flickr...perhaps that is why??
