Hi guys, I need some advice about how to improve my Bokeh for shots like this. It may be the case that with my current set up (nikon d3100 18-55 kit lens) I can't really do much more but any advice would be great, as well as more general tips on how this could be improved.

Well your bokeh is really just blown out highlights. Try not to get any bright areas in your backgrounds of any size as they instantly pull the eye away from the subject. You will need a extension tube to get bokeh with your set up. They are not that expensive and will let you focus much closer with the disadvantage that your DOF will be pretty shallow. For a leaf this will not be too much of a challenge but if you try it on a insect or bird if they will sit still long enough for you getting the whole subject in focus will be a major challenge.

Just a guess on my part but this is what you were after, right?

I really love this shot! However, the right side is really distracting me from what the main focus is, which I think is the water droplet. I think it would look really great if you cropped it so it is just the bottom left third of the picture (:
