Red face Pink Azalea and Bee

Camera: Canon XS
Lens: Canon 50mm 1.8 II
Settings: f2.2, 1/640, ISO 100

I am new to the forums and just bought my first DSLR and I am very excited to get back into shooting. I shot in RAW mode and cooked with photoshop to get as natural a shot as possible. It was shot on a very overcast day at Duke Gardens. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I love this shot (:
But I do think the bee is not quite sharp enough... and, I'm assuming its the focus of attention, but its very small in the frame. Maybe crop in a little?

I agree.

The deep color attracted my eye (probably unlike it did the bee), and then later I found the bee there too. Nice shot and thanks for sharing.

However to get better, potentially more helpful feedback, please include in your posts the important factors that enabled you to take the image; aperture (f/number), shutter speed, ISO setting, type of camera and lens, and anything else you think would help us give you some advice that could be of use. This kind of information is necessary in this critique portion of the forum, and you can probably find it on your camera or in your photo editing software.

You can also post in Share Your Shots with no such requirements.
