Ladybird + Holly Leaves

When walking my dogs i came across this beautiful little ladybird sitting on a Holly branch.



This is my first successful macro shot with my camera, so i would like to know of what improvements i could make next time i attempt a shot like this, exposure and composition wise.

Hi Steve,

Very nice - I like the spot of red against the green, and how the stem leads to the ladybug. I find the shiny leaf in the upper left corner a bit distracting..I would probably crop that out (ie cut off the left side a bit, maybe up to where the lower leaf joins the stem), my person preference
