Default Mongolia- First time shooting with rule of thirds in mind.

Did I do good on the 'rule of thirds'... this was my first time shooting and processing with that in mind? Are the edges too soft? What would you do to make this photo better? Also any other critique is welcome too. Please, please give feedback.

How do you figure all this stuff out? I know you're supposed to put it on your thread but the only thing I know is the name of my camera. Can you help me for next time, please?

The title of this thread - you do mean Magnolia the flower not Mongolia the country, right?

Nice composition.

Hi! Since your photo is on flickr, you can: a) click on the picture from your photostream, b) click on the "Actions" tab right above the picture, c) select "View Exif info".

I think your shot is lovely - I like the soft edges because they don't detract from the center of the flower. Well done on the rule of thirds, too.
