Default fungus

hi my first attempt at a macro
the light was very bright due to the snow

Canon PowerShot SX30 IS
Exposure 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture f/2.7
Focal Length 4.3 mm
ISO Speed 80
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

I really like ur photo. You might try to get closer to one. U might also want to change the angle of the shot. Just a thought!

I like everything about this; viz., the excellent color and contrast along with the sharp focus of the subject against the slight blur of the background.

The contrast of life and growth in the midst of Winter when most life is dormant is also a very nice touch.

This also has a sort of dual rule-of-thirds aspect to it with the source of the fungus being in the right position and the centroid of the fungi on the left.

Not sure about the "macro" aspect of it since there isn't a frame of reference, but it doesn't matter since it works on so many levels as is.

Great shot and thanks for sharing it!!
