Nice picture, with out knowing what you want me to focus most on, I am going to just give you a broad comment. The thing that stands out to me is, the saturation needs more pop, and lighten the image.

Be sure to read on how to post, that way we know what your looking for.

Lightbulb composition..

Hi,
Something about the composition of this is bothersome to me. I think its that there's too much space on the left and perhaps the bottom. My eyes are left wandering, not quite knowing where to land. I think that perhaps if you cropped it a bit on those two sides, it would solve it, and really make it more focused - perhaps the 'pop' that TRR mentioned.

I agree with the comment about saturation - maybe just bump the red a bit. It would be nice to get a little more brilliance out of the frost, too -- especially if you want to use this for something like cards where you want a real "pop" at first glance.

The other thing that I'm noticing is the DOF. You've got great bokeh for the background, but unfortunately, the berries are staggered so that of those three foreground berries, only the center one is really tack-sharp. The problem is that the next one is *almost* in focus, and the third is just slightly blurry. I think it creates a little bit of confusion about which berry is supposed to be the "real" subject. guess I'd almost rather see either more DOF (so all three are in focus) or less (so that it's really clear which berry we're supposed to be looking at). Sorry - that probably sounds kind of nuts, but that's the best I can explain it.

Hi All,

Thanks for the feedback, really good stuff to consider. I am a major novice so its all stuff I can work on especially trying to get the 'pop' you spoke off, I have tried by playing with the background and giving it a more winter feel

Nice -- I think I'd proably go about half that far, but that's definitely starting to look Christmas-like to me!

I am just learning macro myself -- I'm still often confused about what to focus on - but here's my two cents -- I think it would be better if at least the front three berries were in sharp focus and it would give you more sharp frost to look at which is kinda neat ...
