Default Red Cone

Red cone

Took this picture just after sunrise, outdoor with the early morning sun light. I like the colour but the background troubles me.... don't know how to correct it and what went wrong .... hope to get some ideas.

Well, used a Nikon D5000 with nikon 55 - 300mm len set at 240mm the f no was 5.6, ISO 200 and s/ speed 1/50.

I love the happy feeling that comes with viewing this photo. I don't understand photography too well but I love the nice feelings that come with some pics. thank you.

Hi Verodar, You asked for critique on the background. It looks like there was some sort of beam of stronger light in the background, maybe some light coming through a gap in trees etc. In a situation like this, you could have changed your shooting position so the background had a more even lighting and colour. I personally don't mind it the way it is, but if you wanted to change it now, it would take some Photoshop editing to do so.
