Default Frozen Drop

Hi (:
Okay, I was wondering about editing this photo.... Should I risk some photo quality to crop it closer? Also, does the droplet in the top right corner distract from the main drop? And any other critiques you can think of!
Please and thank you (:

P.S. This photo has been edited slightly already

Fujifilm S2800HD (Its not a DSLR, I know.....)
f/6.4
1/125 sec.
ISO-200

Hi Dare,

I like this for several reasons; the frozen motion of the droplet against the backdrop of the setting(?) sun (which means it will survive for yet another day; or, perhaps, a rising sun portending its imminent demise as it loosens its grip on that thorny branch it is grasping so tightly.)

It has that kind of existential strength, I think, and allows at lease some of us viewers to connect the metaphor with our own lives and the evanescent nature of all things and events which nonetheless does not distract from their importance and beauty in the moment..

To your question, I do think the composition could be further strengthened by cropping as you suggested, taking a little off the bottom and left to enable elimination of the drop on the right while maintaining the adjacent thorns. That drop is a distractor, I think, though not a show-stopping one.

I like the muted colors and the way the sharp focus emphasizes the subject, and the bokeh.

If you would not mind, I suggest that you post one or two cropped images to this thread for further comment. I think this is very definitely an image worth the effort of further post processing to optimize its impact.
