Default Wrist watch macro

Time
This is an unedited pic
Following is the EXIF data
Model: Canon PowerShot SX120 IS
ISO: 100
Exposure: 0.6 sec
Aperture: 4.5
Focal Length: 12.8mm
Flash Used: No

I have recently found an immense pull towards photography hence requesting a critique on the settings. This is my first quick attempt at a macro wherein i had chosen yellow and white striped towel as the background. Also I used centered weighted average for this shot.

since the watch face seems to be the subject here, i think in general the contrast is too low. maybe you can increase the exposure a little bit so that the hands and the numbers will pop out better.
