Default Water droplet

SG1S2642

Hi, I'm new to macro and DPS and would greatly appreciate any input. I shot this in my kitchen sink inspired by another thread I read on DPS yesterday. I played around with f-stop to try to get DOF. I was using a Samsung GX 1S 6MP with the standard flash.
F-stop: f/11
Exposure time: 1/180
ISO: 400

Thanks in advance!

1st let me say that you've done a better job capturing this water droplet than I did the one or two times I've tried. With that understanding, I would say the one thing your image needs is some color separation between the water drop and the rest of the water. I've heard of people bouncing flash of colored paper in the background to create this. I was not terribly successful when I tried it though.

Nice job. Tim

Incredible clarity on the water drop! IMO the upper right corner being darker is a little distracting. Maybe crop it out? And slightly adjust the "horizon" to level. Other than that, amazing! I have yet to attempt the water drop shot but understand it can be difficult. Great job!

Way cool. Amazing clarity. You're making me thirsty. I need some H20.

Default Amazing!

I really liked this photo. These are usually hard ones to take. But you've done a great job!
The timing of the drops really helped the result. Congratulations!

Thats a nice shot with first attempt and after cropping the upper side of it, its might look even better and nicely composed after the crop, what say ?

I wanna try this too...

Regards,
Prashant

Very well done. I have tried this a few times myself without much success.
