How is this as a macro shot? What could have been done to improve it?

Nice colorful image. Unfortunately, my eye doesn't know where to rest. Lots of pretty blooms, but I can't tell which bloom is supposed to be the subject. Perhaps try to pick out one bloom to focus on and provide a simpler background next time. One way to help separate your subject is to ensure it is brighter than your background. A great way to do this is by using a simple reflector. You can easily make one just by crumbling up some aluminum foil and then smoothing it out and spreading it over a piece of cardboard. Tape the edges to the back and, presto, you've got a great reflector that cost you pennies. Somewhere around 10-12 inches in size is a great balance between big enough and easy to carry around for this type of work. Thanks for sharing! Tim

Its much easier to critique a shot if we dont have to flip back and forth from one page to another. Can you post your photo here for us?
