Default first photo here

this is my first photo here. i hope i am posting it in the right place. if not i am sorry. i took this picture new years day with my new camera i got for christmas. i edited it in photoshop cs5. i am still learning on how to take photos in the right way and also i am still learning photoshop to. so any thing you have to share about my photo please do so. tell me what you like about and what you dont. and if you think it needs to be improve.

Hard to get a good idea about the detail with the small version of the photo and no way to see the larger versions. IMO, an interesting still-life is pretty tough to create in the first place and proper lighting makes all the difference. Other than that, I personally think there are too many items in your frame. It has a cluttered look that doesn't tell much of a story.
