![]() Mercedes Benz 280GE by Wooglah, on Flickr Camera Nikon D60 Exposure 0.25 sec (1/4) Aperture f/5.6 Focal Length 55 mm ISO Speed 400 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash No Flash Exposure Program Manual Question: I went for shallow dof so I would get an illusion of toy being much larger than it really is, and because I wanted the viewer to focus on the front grill which has some really nice details. Did I made a mistake, is it just too blurry for its own good? Of course, anything else you want to add, that could help me improve my skills will be appreciated ![]() Thanks everyone.

You have indeed succeeded in your goal of pulling the attention to the front grille. I like the details & it even lets me get the feel of the rugged cast iron model. Somehow I wish it would have helped if you could have got to photograph it on a lush lawn with a hint of soil on the tyres which would have made the photography more appealing. Again it would be nice if one could see the grooves in the tyres. The contrast is too high & hence the details in shadow areas have been washed out.
