Default First One - Lynx Spider

Hi, this is my little lynx spider.. I love working with these guys because they just seem to love the camera... except when they get excited. They do get worked up when a flash is put in their face, so this time I tried without and couldn't believe he stayed still for the whole 20seconds the shutter was open.. I am really... Really happy with it, but I was curious to know if someone could maybe give it some constructive critism.. Thank you

Hi, congratulation on your photos! It is really great. From what I see, the colors are great. We can see all the details on the leaf and the spider, witch is really great. The light seems great too. Maybe a little little bit dark... maybe not, depends of your taste!! It's the composition that could be improve. You can crop a little bit of the white at the top right corner. Maybe, for the next photo session, check the background and move yourself to obtain a good one. With the aperture at f/20.0 you obtain a very good depth of field and it works really good with your shot. The eyes of the spider is in focus. Overall, a really good photo I think
Only my humble opinion,
Have a nice day!

I don't know how I missed this one when it was posted but I'm glad it appeared again today. It's a great shot, with wonderful color and detail. The white in the background is a little distracting but nothing significant. I never thought of a spider as having a personality but this one certainly does! TFS!

It would be perfect if it had whole green background without this harsh light, this way is just awesome :P

Ah, amazing shot! I love how you can see every spike/hair on its body. Creepy.

I don't think the mixture of green & white background is bad, I quite like it. Perhaps would've been slightly better if the bottom right corner wasn't brown - but not a shot-killer!

Also it's pretty neat to see the leaves up close like that - they almost look like fondant.

Awesome! Just awesome. It is too bad we can't choose our backgrounds or pose these uncooperative little creatures.

Awesome shot. I think a little darker background would better keep the focus on the spider.
