I've been trying to do a little bit of macro.Well I don't even know if this is macro.Anyway, this is was I came up with after playing around with a two pound coin.It kind of resembles a peacock.Do you think the composition and DOF are ok ?

Hi Marline,

Nice job with a pretty cool subject.

Since you were at 1/4 s, you clearly were on a tripod. But to my eyes, the edges aren't quite as crisp as could be. (Not off by much, though, so maybe it's my rapidly aging vision...)

When I'm looking at your image, my eye keeps getting pulled down toward the bottom left (or the bottom right, depending on how long I look at it). So I think perhaps the focal point is off, compositionally, because I'm really having to concentrate to move my eyes to where your camera tried to direct me.

Great tones on this subject, btw. You could do a lot with it!

Thanks for the comments.I see what you mean about your eyes being taken to the bottom left.I may have to do a reshoot on this one to make everything focused.
