I like your composition for the most part and that you used a shallow depth of field to empasize your subject.
However, I find something a bit disconcerting about the dead/dying petals on the flower. To me, they seem to contradict the vibrancy of the rest of the composition. Also, the butterfly, which seems to me to be the focal point of the compostion, looks blurry to me and I'm wondering if this was caused by camera shake. Did you use a tripod for the shot? If you didn't or couldn't use a tripod, you'll probably need a faster shutter speed for shots like this if you hand-hold your camera. |
