Default Grasshopper

Please let me know about the composition, clarity and other quality aspects of my effort.I photographed it at night time using only the on camera flash. And, if there is anything else that I should be doing to improve the quality of my pictures.

EXIF data is

Camera Nikon D90
Exposure 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 105 mm
Focal Length 106.8 mm
ISO Speed 200
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Auto, Fired, Return detected

I have cropped a little on the left side and increased the contrast using GIMP.

Please leave your valued opinions here. It matters a lot to me.

Thanks,

Not much to critique really. Its a really nice shot, you've done well with the lighting, great DOF and I like the composition with the diagonal. I'd be pretty happy if this was my shot

Good one, Ravi. Nice even focus throughout, although at large size the back quarter of the insect is slightly OOF. But that is not distracting too much from the image, so it is OK. The green leaves in the bottom left are just a little distracting since they are the only non-brown shade in the image, so you may want to consider cropping it out.

You might also want to avoid firing the flash in these kind of photos, since they tend to give a flat, shiny look. Or at least hold a piece of white paper in front of the flash so that it is diffused a bit.
