Default floating leaf

i thought this came out pretty cool....but would like a second (or more) opinion.....does the color work...how is the focus...it makes me feel dreamy....how does it speak to you? or does it......can't put my finger on the exact question to ask....but would appreciate any comments...thanks....tv 1/200, av 2.8, iso100,

yes I can feel the dreamy feel in it.....the blues are a night time dreamy blue but what is distracting for me is that the leaf is not in focus....There is not a sharp point anywhere. Not fatal, but could have really could have been alot better with sharp focus....blurry does no equate to dreamy

Perhaps a blurry Impressionist painting may have a 'dreamy' feel, but I can't say the same for photography. For me, an out-of-focus photo looks, well, sloppy.

I hate to say it, but that is my two cents!

The low ISO here may be why your leaf is not focused because of camera shake due to low-lighting. I would suggest re-shooting this with a higher ISO. Also, you may want to re-shoot using a higher aperture. F/2.8 will cause a lot of blurring/bokeh, too.

thanks for the input guys....i end up just kinda shootin on the fly....i was in my kayak on this lake......it's an old coal pit, actually.... and we were just floating around....i was shooting turtles, colorful trees and their reflections in the water.....leaves floating....my boyfriend fishing from his kayak....it is hard getting a sharp shot when your floating in water.....and with so much variety i often forget to adjust to the situation....but i shall continue practicing.....thanks again.....
