Default Sunny bee

Hi:

Wasn't sure whether to put this here or with the animals, so I apologize in advance to any moderators.

At any rate, this is a shot of a bee I took on a windy, sunny afternoon about 3:30. It was on manual setting, with the kit lens zoomed all the way in. My question is about the lighting; it seems a little bright. Other than bumping my ISO down to 100, is this something I can address with either a filter or PP. Right now I'm using a cheapo Vivitar UV filter, more for lens protection than IQ. I'm not sure if this is the bee I originally meant to shoot, since the wind and the moving bees created a real challenge. For PP, I have Photoscape and GIMP.

That is still a bright and sunny time of the day. If possible, I recommend shooting later in the evening or in the morning. If you do take pictures in the middle part of the day, try and do it on an overcast day. That should help with the bright sun. HTH.

Thanks! I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I'm gonna have to schedule a morning shoot.
