More EXIF data is needed to properly analyze your image. I've looked in flickr at the exif and much is missing, especially the aperture which is crucial in making macros. And even more serious is the focus. This image is not sharp and neither are most of your pictures posted on flickr.
The redeeming feature is that the bug is a beauty. But it's lost by a blurry picture and poor background. I'm trying to figure out what the flesh colored predominance is in your image... In addition, the background is grainy caused by either noise or too much attempt at sharpening. I also suspect that either you took the picture too close and your lens didn't focus properly, or, from too far and you cropped so much that the background is grainy and subject is blurred. It might be a good idea to register for a local course in camera technique. I would suggest you limit most of your adjustments in CS4 until you can control your camera. Try for good pictures "in the camera" and not depend on post-processing. |

Try and ask something more specific.

Hi
Really thanks for all the advice. They are very helpfull. Its my second post here so i is proper to not be the best ![]() I promice to get better ![]() In this image there was only a crop. I used macro extension tube and thats why i didnt get the exif data ![]() The backround is totally lost but do you thing is needed in macro? Macro extension tube does not give a backround for the reason of low aperture. Do you thing is better to get a new macro lens for macros or i can just fix it in cs4? Really helpfull advice thanks!!!

I would recommend when you use tubes or any attachments, to record all your setting:
Distance to subject, ISO, aperture, shutter, lighting, lens, ext, tube configuration, etc. "The backround is totally lost but do you thing is needed in macro? Macro extension tube does not give a backround for the reason of low aperture." Some kind of background is needed in every picture. A macro of nature looks best with a natural background. Some commercial subjects might do best with a monochromatic background. But, always a background. I've shot with tubes and bellows. I always consider the background as very important. The aperture only affects what's in or not in focus, DoF. "Do you thing is better to get a new macro lens for macros or i can just fix it in cs4?" No post-processing will substitute for poor optics. Most taking lenses do not behave well with extension tubes. Nothing can substitute for a well-designed macro lens. Canon makes a good macro lens in the 100mm range, and so does Sigma. You shall do better with practice. Study photographs of other photographers and some of the masters. |
