Default Spider at night time

This is my first attempt at Macro photography. I'm not sure if this deserves to be here or not.

Please critique on all aspects and help me become a better photographer.

Nikon D90
VR 105mm F/2.8G
Focal Length 105mm
Aperture F/16
Shutter Speed 1/160s

I took this when it was very dark and used an LED lamp to help me focus.

First attempt?? Well congratulations! You've nailed a wonderful capture.
IMHO, I believe you could crop out the right section of background and make a vertical picture. The image would have been spectacular if the web were illuminated too. Keep at it, perhaps use one or more units remotely.
