Post The making of Honey

Hello everyone. I hope I've got this in the right section, wasn't sure if it's macro or Animals, I used a Macro / Closeup filter so I guess macro is OK.
I would like to hear your opinion on this shot, is the background to "busy"? I turned down the green channel saturation in PS to get the bee to stand out, I then burnt some of the areas that didn't turn black and white with the saturation trick (I know I missed a couple of spots around the wing)
I would also like to here if you think there is any area where I could improve this shot?
Thanks in advance
Spring Bee

I like the colors. I love how the pinkish/purple and yellow blend with the black background.

I find the black parts of the background a little distracting,
The flower and the bee are sharp and clear in focus,
difficult I know ,but perhaps the bee more front on to get more of the face and the eyes.

Cheers Annwen

I feel like the "balance" of the shot is a bit off. The main subject, the bee, is center-left, and it's at a flower hiding on the left. There's nothing on the right to match the "weight" of those subjects. That can be ok if there's a reason to leave some empty space, but here, I'd much rather see more of the flower.

I like the composition on the re-posted image though I'm distracted by the background. Maybe a totally black background would work, it works here.

Second posted shot is much better, the bee really stands out against the background and the colours of the flowers are lovely.

This is a solid shot, the color and clarity are spot on. Perhaps a little more cropping but a good shot overall.
