Default Rose Lips

Hello everyone,

My wife bought a red and white roses and gave them to me one day before she had to travel with her family. I took my macro lens and started shooting them and from 25-30 shots I think i got a worth looking one.

Red Rose

The picture was taken handheld in my bedroom so no special lighting or backgrounds :P
I have one idea I think it would have improved it and that's by rising the Apreture

Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T1i
Lens: Canon EF 100mm 2.8 USM
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/180)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 100 mm
ISO Speed: 200
External Flash: Canon speedlight 430EX

Thanks foreveryone for taking the time to look at it and plz tell me what you think and how to improve it

I'm certainly no expert, but I absolutly love this photo! I'm amazed that you took this with normal indoor lighting. I love your depth of field too. The only thing I would suggest is to try moving the center of the rose twards the left of the shot and see how that looks. It might be better in the center though. Nice job.

This is my first post so I hope I did all right. (Does anyone know what the difference between the "new reply" and the "quick reply" is?)

Really appreciate your feedback. TBH I tried to take more photos like this one and move it around like you said but couldn't get the same colors so I think I was lucky to get this color with indoor light. Now it's too late to try again since the rose is already dead .

Sorry can't help you with your question since I also don't know the difference between quick and new replies.

love this pic and the colors .. more so since i have personally found red to be the most difficult color to capture.

quick reply : replies to a particular reply on thread.

new reply : is a reply on whole thread.

thanks for sharing
