Default First Attempt: Flower

This is my first attempt at macro photography and I was looking for critique and tips. For PP I cropped the photo and did some colour fixes. Is it overdone? Could I add something more? Should I have tried to get the flowers sharper? Anything else you can think of that I could have done/do to make this a more interesting photo? Thanks

I think the second one is a better exposure, but there's something about the first one I like. I think maybe it's the lightness of the flowers against the darkness of the background. My only suggestion on it is, if you're using Photoshop, is to play with your shadows/highlights adjustment to bring out more detail in the floweres.

i think they are both lovely...i was in a garden shop this morning and they had some framed flower photos for sale...all for 100$ and more.....the quality of the photos was not to the standard that the folks on this site would deem acceptable.....i thought that was funny...gives me hope......good job to you
