Default Another "Dew On Rose"

This time, I raised the F stop so I can grab a wider area of the flower. This photo was taken in the morning at around 9 am. The sun was not so bright at that time. I used tripod for this shot. Yet, I'm still not satisfy with it because it is not sharp. The lens I used was 60mm/f2.8 macro. Do you have any suggestions?

A lovely shot, but the white area to the left is distracting, and you have just lost a bit of the leaf on the left.

it is a great shoot and sharp image to, but you don't have a perspective to it and is to dead center, the background is to messy next time try to place a black sheet of paper or some dark tone to create a better image impact ! nature on black

That is a nice suggestion. Do you carry a black sheet of paper with you when you go out shooting?

Thanks for letting me know, I didn't even think of that. See, obviously I'm a rookie.

I think the image is quite sharp, the drops look quite clear,
the white background on the left I find distracting, ? take shot from the left into the darker background,
I would like the rose to fill the frame a bit more, but I think you are on the right track, just need to look at the composition a bit more
Cheers

Thanks Annwen. The composition part is tough and I'm learning. But meanwhile, I would like to understand more about the exposure more. Thanks again.
