Yesterday was my first attempt at using a 100mm macro lens and I discovered I have a steep learning curve ahead of me.
![]() This shot was one that seemed OK, but on looking at the EXIF the settings looked haphazard to say the least. The underside of the flower was in shadow so I had a fair bit of trouble getting the exposure right. Apart from changing the angle so I wouldn't have the other branches across the background, what else could I have done to improve this photo? ![]() Camera Canon EOS 50D Lens EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640) Aperture f/8.0 Focal Length 100 mm ISO Speed 640 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash Off, Did not fire
