Default Yellow Jacket

I heard the dogs barking the other day and went on the porch to find this critter in the screen. Grabbed my camera and shot it. I was wondering why this picture gave a kind of 3-d effect to the lower body. Was it because I might have moved when I pushed the shutter button (must admit I was getting a bit nervous as I got closer to it)?

Default Yellow Jacket

Thank You for both your comment. That's what I thought, because none of the other pics had it. I do think it is interesting, though!

1/30 - bit slow for handheld. Try shooting a faster shutter speed, and should help sharpen it a bit.

Definitley camera shake, but it can be held steady at 1/30. Learn how to hold the camera and breathe properly.
Not great, but taken hand held at 1/8: St Peter's Church, Lindau Island on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
