Default For The Love Of Music

Just wondering initial thoughts on this photo of my guitar & an old rose. And any possible ways to enhance it. I'm a total rookie on photoshop cs2, and elements. And a novice in photography in general. Thanks.

i'd love to be able to view this at a larger size......dps allows for a 600ppi maximum.....do you belong to any image hosting sites?

alright...

now go to your image on flickr.....click on the all sizes at the top of your shot, go to the medium sized page, and look below it for a box of code that says copy and paste this.....now, back here and edit your post by highlighting all of the link you put in for the image with the new code you just copied....

yeah you!.....

i think yopu have a really good eye.....the composition pleases me....and i especially like the lines leading out of the frame....

if you're worried about the yellow cast, don't......i'm fairly sure it comes from some incandescent lighting in the room, but it lends an antique feel to this for sure antique rose.....

i think this image could use a light hand with the contrast tools....you could either use the auto contrast and let the program pick your contrast.....or you could go into adjustments and toy with the sliders in levels or contrast/highlight.....til something suits you.....

have fun and repost if you have an edit.....

I don't know, to me the image doesn't read quickly enough. The only thing I recognize is the flower. I don't necessarily think you need more DoF, but some a different point of view might be better.
