Wink This is not hi-tech shot !

Hello I'm back again with this !

Black Rose

This is not a hi-tech image quality but i like the result, I await your critiques.

I use a simple red rose on a black bg near a natural source of light - I used the on camera flash with a single sheet of paper to dissipate the light.

EXIF here:

Camera SAMSUNG DIGITAL IMA SAMSUNG GX20
Exposure 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture f/11.0
Focal Length 180 mm
ISO Speed 400
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash On, Fired
Lens Tamson 70-300mm Di Macro 1:2

Thanks for sharing.

Really nice shot! Well executed! I like the light on the edge of the rose! And the background is distraction-free!

One thing, I noticed that at full size, the photo is not so clear. You might want to sharpen it a bit!

Regards,
Alex Cican

(P.S. Salutari si in Romana )

sorry, i just didnt catch that without a question mark. I assumed it was a statement

Now, for your photo. I personally think that there should be more room in front of the flower than in the back. Just feels odd to me to have empty space behind it.
It also feels a tad too dark
