jessacita,

When you add your photo, it's just another few seconds of Copy/Paste to add your camera information, too. That gives everyone access to information they need sooner than if a moderator has to add it for you. It helps Critiquers and you.

That's a very beautiful bloom, sharp, interesting closeup. Attention is drawn some to the right side by the lone petal, so close to the edge. Cropping right and top might give your lower right portion more detail, as that's the pistil/stamen more focussed on.

For a building or a landscape, b/w can sometimes create a mood or cover ugliness. For a flower, it seems a waste of everything Nature went to such lengths to create. No question, color so good should be in color.

jessacita,

We are encouraging that: to post any change you may make as a result of a number of Critiquers, so that everyone can follow your progress, see which changes work or don't. Feel free to wait for other suggestions, or crop as you see fit, it's your thread.

One added EXIF for us means an added minute to check other threads. It isn't a big deal, until you think of how many threads are added in an hour. Thanks for understanding.

jessacita,

Just for fun, I looked at your edit with head turned left, so photo is in portrait orientation: looks good. More fun, stood up, looked upside down, as if photo were flipped mirror image, top for bottom: also looks good.

You did good, it's a very flexible shot. Gorgeous color.
