Question Pup

Hi,

This is a shot that i took on the streets in the night. It was the last one bfore my battery went dead.
Could you please tell me how i cud have made this a better shot. Are there any distractions that spoil the picture? I edited it in Lightroom and I am not sure if the darkness in the picture is justifiable.. ..

EXIF

Flash- No
Focal Length- 18mm
Lens Aperture: f/3.5
Shutter Speed: 1/25 sec
ISO - 6400

Subject Distance- 250mm

Well, we would certainly vote if we could see the picture. As of now, I vote "Needs more improvement"

I disagree, Stryker. This image reminds me of the painting "White on White" by Kazmir Malevich, founder of the Suprematist school. However, here the artist takes the concept a step further in, by analogy, dispensing altogether with the canvas and frame; that is to say, the ultimate statement on the subject of "Nothingness".

How can one improve upon this? (A rhetorical question.) It is the ultimate RAW file representing the entire range of potential compositions, dynamic range, and color spectra, and yet at once, none of the above.

To answer the artist's specific questions, I can see no distractions that spoil the picture. But I think your method of eliminating them; viz., by eliminating the picture as well; could be considered exteme. You edited it in Lightroom and apparently achieved the perfect balance with darkness, cancelling out the visible completely, and this is especially noteworthy at the high ISO without any visible noise whatsoever: Amazing job, and/or great camera!

This is a work both beyond praise and reproach. It is definitely the best photograph I never saw: I rate it "Excellent"!!!
