Default New Born Dragonfly

Spotted a new born dragonfly yesterday afternoon so raced to get my camera before it could fly off

Aperture : 5.6
Focal Length : 70 + Close Up +10
ISO : 400
Shutter : 1/125
WB : Auto
Flash : DnF

I know my focus is slightly off but I wanted the base of the wings and tip of head in focus.
What others things can you suggest ? cropping and such like.

Other images from the day can be found here :

Many Thanks

cool picture!! but now how do you know it was newborn? size? something else?

I have to say I think they look much cooler when I can see the 'big picture' of them vs. so close up...they look cool that way but kind of creepy!! but then of course that is what macro is all about!

I know it was new born as I watched it climb out of the pond and emerge from its dragonfly lave

haha yea unfortunatly I was abit slow and only had bout 15seconds to take pictures before it flew away (Once its wings where fully pumped up) so didn't have time to remove my close up filter

Thank you for the interest
