Default Bunch of Mushrooms

I had taken this snap on recent trip to Sikkim, India. I have upped the saturation, contrast and colours a bit. What I want to know is have I done it correctly or have I gone overboard with the changes? Should i have shot it from a different angle? I tried shooting it from underneath but the results were not good.

I actually wouldn't have noticed that you increased the saturation and colors if you didn't tell us!

But my suggestions...
--No flash. I am not a fan of flash and the bulky, harsh shadows it creates (I see them underneath the tops of each mushroom)
--Vertical crop may be more pleasing since these are positioned vertically - or possibly just take the photo again, and recompose your camera so that you get a vertical frame!

:-)

The changes do look natural, good job. Though it is a very nice photo, it is not breath taking. The bad part is that I can't see anything that could have been done better, possibly a different angle, or a wider shot, it's tough to say.
