Default Waiting for Spring II

This was one of several photos I took last weekend that I was happy with, although, honestly, I'll be happy when Spring finally gets here; 1/2 my "Walkabout" set is filled with lots and lots of brown.

Waiting For Spring II

I think about the only thing I might change is the spider web - there's a slight glare off of it right in the middle between the 2 ... whatever they are ... that shows up as just a "spot" on the smaller thumbnail (and may show as a spot on darker monitors). And, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe a different crop so it's not quite so centered - but I'm really torn on that, given the amount of space the subject fills.

Taken with my 14-45mm lens, and my +10 close-up filter.
Exif info:

Aperture: f/16
WB: Daylight
Focal Length: 45mm
No Flash
EV: -1
Shutter Speed: 1/40 second
ISO: 100

There's also a second photo, with the other "puff" as the focal point here. (note: Waiting for Spring I is the original orientation; I rotated CCW for II).

Thoughts? Comments?

Hi velvet4269:
It's a nice shot. I like this one better but I do like the DOF of the other one you posted on flickr.
I don't think I can add you a comment of value because I'm not sure about if I would prefer the focus on the first flower, on the second one or both. Maybe you can try to find in another of your walks a stand alone flower which will eliminates all possibilities hehehe.
I like the detail on the focused one. Also the soft warm light is great.
Nice shot!
Ohhh about the web you said, you can let it be there. Gives a mood of old not touched flower in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing it!

The shot feels warm. What time of day did you take it??? Maybe finding a single flower placing it above the amber lighting at the bottom might be interesting. Well done.
