![]() Taken today, using my 14-45mm lens with my +10 close-up filter (because I'm too poor for a macro lens ).Natural lighting Focal Length: 45mm Aperture: f/10 Exposure: 1/100 (.01 seconds) EV: 0/10 ISO: 100 No Flash hand-held (yay for sunny days) Shot in RAW, and then played with the contrast, saturation, and sharpness, along with a bit of a crop. I could probably get away with cropping a little closer, but I like having some of the background in there.

Hi velvet4269:
The textures of the leaf are great. And warm colors play well whit it. What I would do is to desaturate a little bit the background to bring more attention to the subject. I tell you this, because both background and foreground have the same range of colors. The DOF is great. I use too close up filters...aren't they great? Thanks for sharing it.

Yeah - I was having issues trying to get the leaf color right, without over-doing the background, and it just wasn't working. I'll play more with that later.
My close-up filter is making me really, REALLY want that macro lens even more, but I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. Shooting in RAW helped a bit too.
