Hi, I took this at the park. Although I like it a lot. I think there is something wrong about the composition or the DOF. Can you guys help me out?

I think the composition is fine; there is a gentle slope created by the line of flowers, DOF is where you want it, and the primary object of interest is at a place where two of the thirds meet. I could wish that more of the bee was visible, but the little critters are fast as lightning.

hi Montoya,
I've tried taking photos of butterflies before, and so I respect your capture of the bee! I agree with Lee R that the composition and DOF is fine in your picture. I think that perhaps it looks like the section of flowers that the bee happened to be on is a bit shaded? The bee's body looks partially in shadow, as are the flowers in the foreground-- the darkened shadow on the flowers are somewhat detracting from the bee. hope you manage to find more bees
