Default Looking for Macro Critique

I am relatively new to macro photography and I would like some guidance on my composition (tried to set the stamen off center), color (adjusted color using PS), and lighting.

EXIF Data;
Canon 40D
Lens EF180mm f/3.5L Macro USM
Av 18.0
Tv 1/20
ISO 250

hmmm, where to begin?.... um, no where! It is a beautiful macro.

Focus is great, as it DOF on the subject. I love the background being perfect black with a little petal still visable. Rule of thirds was followed well and the color and exposure simply rock. Great image!!!

I really like your photo, it is very ... I would use the word sensual ... because of the way the color of the flower is with the background. I think this photo is beautiful. Keep up the awesome work!

Ditto on the previous comments, this is an excellent shot, I love the solid black background, and the colors are very soothing. Keep up the good work.

Agree with above, nothing to critique there. The colour of the flower is stunning, great DOF and as has already been said, great use of the black background. I'd be happy with that shot if I'd taken it!

nice photo, simple black background gives the flower emphasis. and color was great red on black is a great idea
