Default New Wheels

I obtained a reverse mounting ring and tried to put it to good use. This is one of my first attempts at macro photography. It was hard to get the focus right.

Although, I'd love to get any critique I'm really looking for you to look at the focus and tell me is it right?

EXIF
Nikon D40
ISO: 200
Aperature: wide open (lens was reverse mounted)
1/2 sec exposure

Hi, first of all, the photo you post isn't really clear. It's like you compressed it too much... I'm pretty sure that your original one is really better!
Besides of that, I like the composition, the way you put the car. I like the colors too and the white background isolate the subject very well.
About the focus, it seems to be well done. Just one thing... maybe if you add a little bit of depth of field, we would be able to see clearly the Hot wheels logo on the top...
Just my opinions
Have a nice day!

Thank you for the response. I will have to reset and see if I can give it some DOF so the logo is clear, I like that idea. When I converted it from RAW to JPEG I set the quality to maximum (12 I think), is there a better file format that would not compress it as much?

When we click on your flickr page, the photo is correct. So it's the way you post it that seems to be wrong... Check that link to help you post a photo with flickr...
Good luck and have a nice day!
