Smile Lilly in my Garden

I would like some comments about this image.
This was taken in RAW and converted to JPEG.
No post processing (other than adding my signature.)

I have a few other shots here and would appreciate any comments.

What exactly are you wanting a critique on?

I am wondering if the image could be improved by post processing?
Is it too dark?
I guess I'm wondering if anyone likes it or if it is boring.

I don't want to come across as overly knowledgeable, as I am relatively new to macro photography, but here are my comments;

the blurred background is a good approach, but in this case, I liked the picture in your photostream with the open lilly in focus and the foreground blurred.

Agnew,

I very much like your shot. I have always found it interesting when someone puts objects in focus that others would not give almost any attention. You have done that quite well. My only thought was that maybe the top of the frame does not help the composition all that well. I like that it contrasts the bright creamy whites, but I kind of find some of the shapes distracting. A slight crop on the top may improve this shot a bit. Just a thought. Good job!

Thank you for all your comments, I kind of didn't know where to start with my post processing. I really like the photo as mentioned you would expect the bloomed flower to be the focus, but I wanted to try something different.

I will work on the "blown out white" and see if I can soften it a bit.
I will also try the suggestion to crop the top a little.

I appreciate those who took the time to comment and critique...

To Laurenbiz...these would be the critiques I was looking for...somewhere to start and improve the image. Thanks for your help.
