So I have had this 60mm micro for over 5 years just sitting in my bag waiting to be used... well here goes... LOL!

Here is one I took this evening... What I am looking for is critique on lighting, focus, composition, and pretty much anything one can think of to help...

Camera Data:
Camera: Nikon D70s
Shutter: 1/3
Aperture: f/13
ISO: 400
Flash: SB800 remote command (not sure if helped any)
Metering: Spot
Exposure Program: Manual
Ex. Comp: -5
Distance about 2"

I like the image and composition a lot, but I would have liked to see it in colour as the appeal to me of macro is the bold colours and detail that we usually don't look at as we pass by such small things. But that's really more a personal thing rather than a critique.

mk12mod,

I agree, I like the colors of macro also. I like the blur of the background and the composition is good. I think the focus may be too shallow. I would rather see the entire center of the flower tack sharp.
