Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to this site etc. I have a few pics from a long time ago that I'd love for people to critique - I feel like my friends are too nice! I have a couple of the same image but cropped differently, also I have printed one of them and it looked quite flat (I don't have my screen calibrated). Be great if you could give me your opinion on which is the better composition, if you think this kind of image is saleable (and maybe where if you have an idea) and of course how I could've improved this shot. I have done some post processing in Camera Raw & photoshop. ![]() orchid 2 http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4061/...5143051294.jpg Camera: Canon 400D Shutter: 1/400 Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 400 F. Welcome to DPS Karizy. The composition is good to me, good contrast. I would love to see the colour version of it as well. Thanks.

Hi Karizy. I'm just wondering what were you trying to achive with this pic? Why black and white when such lovely colours are in the image? Is it a study of the shades of grey and texture? I feel the strong shadows don't do anything for this pic and the exposure is all wrong, highlights are blown out, no detail in the white petal, its just as tho we are looking at plain white paper. Im not too sure of the cropping, why not show the whole flower? Just my thoughts!
