That's an exceptionally good shot for "just a point-and-shoot". Goes to show how much the photographer makes the image, not the camera ![]() Very nice composition and good focus! Overall the image is a bit dark; perhaps due to vignetting in PP? Also, if you can control it, I'd try to focus on the gynoecium instead of the petals. What you can do with a point and shoot is improve lighting. Have you tried backlighting the flowers? You can use a simple torch, or get yourself cheap flashes and remote triggers from ebay (flash ~ 40$, remote trigger ~$20). Someone should buy you an SLR, as you're already taking amazing images like IMG_1635! Keep up the very good work! Regards, Ludwig |
