Hello everyone,

I am a new member here in the forum and this is my first time to post a picture. I dont know a whole lot as in terms of taking a very good photo, as I am fairly new to the art of photography, I wanted to learn more and I badly need and very much open to suggestions to this cute flower subject. thanks a bunch.

Hello Gracie welcome to DPS. I love to shoot flowers too and you did a good attempt on shooting this. You established a good depth of field by separating the background to the subjects. It is worth doing also to fiddle a bit with your camera setting, to unleash its capacity. Starting from setting it to macro mode to improve focus on the object and progressing to semi auto mode using aperture priority and shutter priority, lastly to manual setting. There are very good tips you can find in this section Digital Photography Techniques or if you want illustration I just usually go to YouTube. Start with composition and search the things like exposure, manual settings(aperture, shutter speed and iso). Goodluck and happy shooting...

Mabuhay! I somehow accidentally clicked on a link in the forum and that was when I found out that youre Pinoy!!! Anyway, thanks for taking your time and following on my post. I truly appreciate your suggestions. Yeah, I must admit that I really have to explore more and more of my camera's potentials yet.
