Default Horse Chestnut (Conker) still in spiky shell, on Tree Stump

I love this photo. I took it when I was on my way home, walking through the woods. I put the chestnut on a tree stump, and I think I used a mini tripod. My camera is a Compact Samsung Digimax V800. I had it set on Auto, with MACRO, no flash, and using a 2 second timer.

Tex welcome to DPS. I never seen that kind of plant yet. Nice angle with tripod. You can try enhance your composition by using rule of third, cropping a bit see how it looks like. Colour looks good to me, some overexpose on the top part, time of the day is one factor to balance the exposure sometimes. Goodluck and keep shooting.
