A weird found looking at me that evening. Looks like the "Great Asian Mantis" to me. Please comment

Hello nice shoot. By the way i like the sharpness of the finger but I would like to make the mantis to be sharp as well, you can achieve by adjusting your aperture. Overall, I like the whole concept though. Also, I would like to mention that the shadow on the front of the mantis is distracting to me. Maybe to shoot in different angle will eliminate that shadow. Goodluck and keep on shooting.

Default Thanks for your comments.

The issue is time dude I am slow at the adjustments... at least slower than these insects :P. I have to learn to pickup speed.

The shadow:
I was using the built in flash. The insect was on the floor and to push the flash light towards the insect I had to bent down and bend the camera. But due to the bent the flash light (lowest intensity and 1st curtain) was partially blocked by the lens cylinder (something like a lens in the PnS)... If there is a workaround for this constraint, please let me know ..

That is really a weird thing found on your kitceh or bathroom tile.

The finger and the shadow distract my attention away fron the mantis ( your subject, right?)
