Critique my Spider

I don't know if this qualifies as Macro. I shot this completely on auto cause the guy was moving to fast for me to change settings. I know DOF was too narrow but what else?
I was using a Nikon D50 with an 18-55 lens Shutter speed was 1/500, Focal length was at 55 and I was at F11. I think ISO was 200 but not sure.
I just really found him interesting
