Default My first macro photo

Camera: Canon
Model: Canon EOS 450D
ISO: 320
Exposure: 1/8 sec
Aperture: 10.0
Focal Length: 100mm
Flash Used: No

I have recently bought 100 mm /2.8/IS /USM macro lens from canon. This is my first macro shot. I would like to have comments and suggestions for further improvements..

Good shot. I like the color contrast. I think I would have tired to exclude the hair or material to the right of the screw. Maybe by moving it over a little would have worked. Overall I like it.

a title for your photo "screwed"...remove the piece of hair or trash and you are good to go!

If the hair was deliberate, move it so its not in front of the screw. It is right where the nice golden reflection of the screw head is.

I don't think directly behind the screw is good either. Maybe near the screw tip instead of the screw head.

retaining the hair was a deliberate attempt to show the lens capability. But as you said, may be the position is wrong !!!
